Dual Blade's 2nd/3rd Mastery Books are available from Taeha in Secret Flower Garden for 100,000 mesos.
Unused books do not disappear and can be stored in your inventory for an indefinite amount of time.
Episode Book
Cassandra has given you a journal to keep a log of events and quests going around Maple World.
Obtain different books in different areas of Maple World.
New story events have been added, and you can earn
achievements through the different books that you find.
The Episode Book can be found by clicking the "Adventure Journal" in the
Menu or by setting the Episode Book to a Hot Key.
Each story event has its own book.
The quests can be followed through the Quest Tab and the Achievements can be seen in the Act Tab.
UI Renewal
The Quest window, Mount Skill window, and Equipment Inventory have received updates.
The Quest window now has a search feature in the Available, Completed, and Recommended tabs.
You can view the total number of completed quests.
The Completed tab now displays all rewards from completed quests.
The Mount Skill and Mount Info windows are now combined into one window.
Mounts no longer require saddles and only come in Skill form.
Cash equips are given their own tab.
Profession Revamp
Professions have been updated to make crafting items better than ever.
Can’t decide between Herbalism and Mining? Now you don’t have to -
players can now select both Herbalism and Mining as professions.
Don’t have a shovel or pickaxe? No problem -
shovels and pickaxes are no longer required for Herbalism/Mining.
Not near Ardentmill? A new button has been added to the Production Skil
l window that can send you to Ardentmill from most maps.
Players can now reach Mastery level 11 (Master Craftsman) and level 12 (Meister)
in Smithing, Alchemy, and Accessory Crafting. Don’t get lazy, though -
you can lose experience if you haven’t crafted items in a while, causing your Mastery levels to drop back down.
Don’t worry - your Mastery level will never drop below level 10.
Smithing
Equipment level 120 and below no longer require recipes to craft.
Master Craftsman can create the Master Craftsman Cube:
Movement is possible only within the account, usable until 7 days after it is created,
usable on items graded Rare to Unique. Max Result: Unique.
Meister can create the Meister Cube: Movement is possible only within the account,
usable until 7 days after it is created, usable on items graded Rare to Legendary. Max Result: Legendary.
Meisters are also able to craft new level 145 ‘Meister’ weapons for most classes
Alchemy
Master Craftsman and above are able to extract Occult Cubes,
Master Craftsman Cubes, recipes and non-cash Scrolls.
Master Craftsman can create the Cube Extractor: Untradeable,
usable until 7 days after it is created. Extractor can be used by other players to extract Occult Cubes and Master Craftsman Cubes for a fee.
Master Craftsman can create the Scroll Extractor: Untradeable,
usable until 7 days after it is created. Extractor can be used by other players to extract non-cash Scrolls and Recipes for a fee.
Master Craftsman can create 8-slot and 10-slot herb bags and mineral bags.
Meister can create 12-slot herb bags and mineral bags.
Meister can create 8-slot coin purse: Pink Coin Purse
Accessory Crafting
Most accessories level 120 and below no longer require recipes to craft.
Master Craftsmen and Meisters can now create new shoulders, rings, earrings, and face accessories.
Auto-Pilot
A new Smart Mount feature has been added.
The Smart Mount allows you to conveniently auto-pilot around a number of regions in Maple World for a small fee.
A special flight permit is required to use the auto-pilot outside of Victoria Island, Ereve, and Rien.
All flight permits are permanent and don’t take up any inventory space.
A special Smart Mount is required to use the auto-pilot.
The Smart Mount is currently sold exclusively through Instructor Irvin.
An auto-pilot button has been added to the top of the world map window when viewing a region that is eligible for auto-pilot.
Exchange your job for something different!
The Open Job Advancement is available for all Explorers that have
received the 4th job advancement and is past level 101.
Use a Job Advancement Coin or use Mesos if you don't have a Coin.
As your level gets higher, so does the price, starting at 10 million Mesos.
Job Advancements can only be done once a day, resetting at midnight.
All skills have been reset along with their Mastery Books, in other words,
you need to use Mastery Books on the skills to reach their maximum level again. So choose wisely!
To exchange your job, go to your 4th Job instructor at the Forest of the Priest.
Speak to your instructor and a Job Change window will appear.
Double-click on the image to change your job.
Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest
The Crimsonwood Keep part quest has returned, for all Maplers who have
completed the Crimsonwood Keep quests the party quest will be available once more.
The quest can be started by talking to the Battle Statue in Crimsonwood Keep
Complete various stages testing your speed and agility
Battle 5 fearsome bosses during the final stage.
The Bonus stage has various rewards awaiting you.
Ariant Coliseum
Available from level 60 to 80.
Party quest can be done 10 times every day.
Collect Jewels during the party quest.
If you collect enough jewels you will get battle points and you can trade those in for a battle ring.
Other Changes:
- Meister Cubes and Craftsman's Cubes can be created through alchemy
- Unnecessary Potentials have been removed.
- Added Arkarium Boss Soul
- Every class can be created with Character Cards except for Cygnus Knight and Xenon.
- Magnus Easy Mode has been added
- Monster drop rate has been upped.

Unused books do not disappear and can be stored in your inventory for an indefinite amount of time.
Episode Book
Cassandra has given you a journal to keep a log of events and quests going around Maple World.
Obtain different books in different areas of Maple World.
New story events have been added, and you can earn
achievements through the different books that you find.
The Episode Book can be found by clicking the "Adventure Journal" in the
Menu or by setting the Episode Book to a Hot Key.
Each story event has its own book.
The quests can be followed through the Quest Tab and the Achievements can be seen in the Act Tab.
UI Renewal
The Quest window, Mount Skill window, and Equipment Inventory have received updates.
The Quest window now has a search feature in the Available, Completed, and Recommended tabs.
You can view the total number of completed quests.
The Completed tab now displays all rewards from completed quests.
The Mount Skill and Mount Info windows are now combined into one window.
Mounts no longer require saddles and only come in Skill form.
Cash equips are given their own tab.
Profession Revamp
Professions have been updated to make crafting items better than ever.
Can’t decide between Herbalism and Mining? Now you don’t have to -
players can now select both Herbalism and Mining as professions.
Don’t have a shovel or pickaxe? No problem -
shovels and pickaxes are no longer required for Herbalism/Mining.
Not near Ardentmill? A new button has been added to the Production Skil
l window that can send you to Ardentmill from most maps.
Players can now reach Mastery level 11 (Master Craftsman) and level 12 (Meister)
in Smithing, Alchemy, and Accessory Crafting. Don’t get lazy, though -
you can lose experience if you haven’t crafted items in a while, causing your Mastery levels to drop back down.
Don’t worry - your Mastery level will never drop below level 10.
Smithing
Equipment level 120 and below no longer require recipes to craft.
Master Craftsman can create the Master Craftsman Cube:
Movement is possible only within the account, usable until 7 days after it is created,
usable on items graded Rare to Unique. Max Result: Unique.
Meister can create the Meister Cube: Movement is possible only within the account,
usable until 7 days after it is created, usable on items graded Rare to Legendary. Max Result: Legendary.
Meisters are also able to craft new level 145 ‘Meister’ weapons for most classes
Alchemy
Master Craftsman and above are able to extract Occult Cubes,
Master Craftsman Cubes, recipes and non-cash Scrolls.
Master Craftsman can create the Cube Extractor: Untradeable,
usable until 7 days after it is created. Extractor can be used by other players to extract Occult Cubes and Master Craftsman Cubes for a fee.
Master Craftsman can create the Scroll Extractor: Untradeable,
usable until 7 days after it is created. Extractor can be used by other players to extract non-cash Scrolls and Recipes for a fee.
Master Craftsman can create 8-slot and 10-slot herb bags and mineral bags.
Meister can create 12-slot herb bags and mineral bags.
Meister can create 8-slot coin purse: Pink Coin Purse
Accessory Crafting
Most accessories level 120 and below no longer require recipes to craft.
Master Craftsmen and Meisters can now create new shoulders, rings, earrings, and face accessories.
Auto-Pilot
A new Smart Mount feature has been added.
The Smart Mount allows you to conveniently auto-pilot around a number of regions in Maple World for a small fee.
A special flight permit is required to use the auto-pilot outside of Victoria Island, Ereve, and Rien.
All flight permits are permanent and don’t take up any inventory space.
A special Smart Mount is required to use the auto-pilot.
The Smart Mount is currently sold exclusively through Instructor Irvin.
An auto-pilot button has been added to the top of the world map window when viewing a region that is eligible for auto-pilot.
Exchange your job for something different!
The Open Job Advancement is available for all Explorers that have
received the 4th job advancement and is past level 101.
Use a Job Advancement Coin or use Mesos if you don't have a Coin.
As your level gets higher, so does the price, starting at 10 million Mesos.
Job Advancements can only be done once a day, resetting at midnight.
All skills have been reset along with their Mastery Books, in other words,
you need to use Mastery Books on the skills to reach their maximum level again. So choose wisely!
To exchange your job, go to your 4th Job instructor at the Forest of the Priest.
Speak to your instructor and a Job Change window will appear.
Double-click on the image to change your job.
Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest
The Crimsonwood Keep part quest has returned, for all Maplers who have
completed the Crimsonwood Keep quests the party quest will be available once more.
The quest can be started by talking to the Battle Statue in Crimsonwood Keep
Complete various stages testing your speed and agility
Battle 5 fearsome bosses during the final stage.
The Bonus stage has various rewards awaiting you.
Ariant Coliseum
Available from level 60 to 80.
Party quest can be done 10 times every day.
Collect Jewels during the party quest.
If you collect enough jewels you will get battle points and you can trade those in for a battle ring.
Other Changes:
- Meister Cubes and Craftsman's Cubes can be created through alchemy
- Unnecessary Potentials have been removed.
- Added Arkarium Boss Soul
- Every class can be created with Character Cards except for Cygnus Knight and Xenon.
- Magnus Easy Mode has been added
- Monster drop rate has been upped.
